Chimps to The Rescue

I had been experimenting intensely for several weeks with making all my sites mobile friendly. I would get it just right, perfect on all browsers and mobile devices, then make a minor improvement that I thought had nothing to do with presentation, and … BOOM!. My site would blow up, scramble itself, or go blank with a gray screen of death — an empty web page that didn't even have enough class to default to a white background. Lots of trial and error, with the emphasis on error. I'm thankful that I do not make my living designing web sites.

Last week I stumbled onthe iFeature Free WordPress theme from CyberChimps. It's a "responsive" theme that essentially redesigns the presentation for the device and orientation being used, iPhone portrait and landscape, iPad, Droid mobile, Chrome, Firefox, and even IE — Internet Exploder.

I spent a few hours experimenting with iFeature Free, then decided to purchase iFeature Pro. One of my better investments.

iFeature is easy to set up, and is, well, fully featured. I like the way it integrates with the WordPress menu system. I'm looking forward to applying other features, Slides, Carousel, and Portfolio. I'm looking forward to what the Chimps come up with next.

Please let me know what you think about iFeature Pro.
